A: AdvisorConnector is free for professionals seeking advancement in
the industry. The hiring firm pays all of the fees.
Q: Confidentiality and Privacy are a concern for me. What information is
displayed on the internet about me?
A: This is a very good question and a valid concern. Your name, phone
number, address, and e-mail address are never released to any firm without your
consent. Through the utilization of our profiling and matching software, you
are provided with a unique opportunity to provide the information desired by
the hiring manager while maintaining complete anonymity. Firms will decide
whether or not to request a contact with you based on this information. At this
time you will be able to review the details of the opportunity and firm and
decide whether or not to release your personal data in the effort to obtain an
interview.
This method of profiling is much more confidential than using a traditional
online resumé which usually contains enough information to identify you (i.e.
current and previous employers, names and e-mail addresses). The situation we

Q: Why do you use a profile instead of a resumé?
A: Resumés can be posted on AdvisorConnector; however, they are only of
secondary use to your profile. Technological advances such as search engines
demand that information be presented in an orderly, standard format so that
filters and matches can be run against this data. This is virtually impossible
using the traditional free flowing resumé format.
Hiring managers seek very specific information about you before they decide to
grant you an interview. By providing this information to the hiring manager it
allows us to maintain your confidentiality, while allowing you maximum exposure
to new and exciting opportunities.
Securities professionals tend to get lost on the big job boards that have
hundreds of thousands (or even millions) of resumés. Good candidates are hard
to find using keyword searches. Information presented in resumés does not
